My Crazy Kinda Life

So it's my birthday...and I'm at work. It's been a good day so far (knock on wood). No one called off this morning, so I'm not rushing around trying to find staff. It's also not a payroll Monday...always a good thing. 

The nurse manager bought me a cake and a gift card for my birthday and I've already had several people call me wishing me a good day. So all and all, it's been a really good day to far (minus the fact that it's Monday and I'm at work...). 

Saturday Erik and I went out to Krobar in the Strip for Ashley and Amber's 25th birthday. It was a good time. I had a tad too much to drink, but it's great to get re-aquainted with my college friends. I think Erik is making some friends too...always a good thing. 

Yesterday was a pretty lazy day except that we went shopping for a futon mattress in Squirrel Hill. Picked one out in 10 minutes and it was really decently priced too. I am no longer homeless...I now have a bed and I won't be wandering around to friend's houses and living out of my car....

                   During the storms a few weeks ago, our basement flooded. My parents bedroom is in the 
                   basement and they lost all their furniture, bed, etc. So they moved upstairs to my room and 
                   moved me into Chachi's old room. I like to call it "the closet." So I had to give up my bed and
                   one of my dressers. There is a futon in "the closet" but it had to mattress. So for the past two
                   weeks, I've been homeless, sleeping at different places every night, and living out of my car....
